Direct Access Screening Colonoscopy

Helping to Make it Easier to Keep You Healthy

Short on Time? Skip the initial consult with Direct Access Screening Colonoscopy

Under the program, a patient can contact the office and request that they be scheduled for a Direct Access Screening Colonoscopy. Upon review of your medical information by the physician (10-14 days), patients who meet the medical criteria can then have their procedure performed at our endoscopy center.

To begin the Direct Access Screening process, patients can:

• Call the office
E-mail requests to be contacted
• Print Direct Access paperwork and return to our office via fax, mail or in person

For the convenience of our patients, we offer Direct Access Screening for Colon Cancer. This allows patients who qualify to bypass a pre-procedure office visit and make just one visit to our center for their procedure.

Colonoscopy is the most important test to detect colon cancer at an early stage or to prevent it in its entirety. When found early, colon cancer is 90% treatable. Beginning at age 50, patients should have a screening colonoscopy performed. African-Americans have a greater risk of colon cancer and should have a colonoscopy performed once they reach 45 years of age.
